Deals Bring In Sprint Customers

It’s no secret in the industry that Sprint has been losing customers by the truck load, and now they are battling back in the form of cheaper service. I think Sprint has the right idea in this case, but they should also look into optimizing the service and making it better to compete with Verizon and AT&T. The reason customers left Sprint was simple:  the service on the customer service side as well as the service itself was less than acceptable. NEW YORK – Sprint Nextel Corp. got more customers to stick around in the first quarter but did so by offering cheaper service, and posted a larger loss than a year earlier.

The nation’s third-largest wireless carrier said Wednesday that it lost a net 75,000 subscribers in the first three months of 2010, compared to a decline of 182,000 in the same quarter last year.
